Position Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will conduct in-home visits at clients' homes to monitor and report on the quality of services being provided by Home Care Aides, and to determine whether existing care plans are adequate to meet client needs.
Hours: Full-Time Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. Some field visits are after hours and on weekends which provides flexibility in the Monday through Friday schedule with paid overtime on the weekends.
Office location: Addus HomeCare 2335 W 95th St Chicago IL 60643.
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

Essential Duties:
- Monitor clients' conditions and assess caregivers' performance.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and state-specific program rules, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct 10 successful in-home visits per 8-hour shift (50+ IHVs per week).
- Maintain a structured schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
- Occasionally work weekends or after-hours with prior manager approval.
- Observe and evaluate caregivers during in-home visits to ensure proper adherence to Care Plans.
- Complete all required compliance documents with caregivers during visits.
- Maintain an organized schedule to ensure timely completion of all assigned visits.
- Use a personal phone for work-related communication (Outlook, Teams, calls, texts, and emails) when needed.
- Respond promptly to all work-related communications during the shift.
- Document all in-home visits (successful and unsuccessful) in the system within 48 hours of completion.
- Complete all special requests (e.g., investigations, signature verifications, well-being checks) within 48 hours.
- Submit a daily end-of-day report summarizing completed tasks.
- Submit all required documents to the office on Mondays and Wednesdays each week.
- Maintain strict confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and flexibility to meet agency needs.
- Adhere to all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements & Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably home care.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and compliance standards.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate and adapt as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and scheduling programs.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and state-required insurance.
- Must be able to travel throughout the city and suburbs.
- Comfortable using a personal cell phone for work-related tasks when needed.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel.
