As a Chaplain, you’ll play a key role in supporting patients and families through some of life’s most vulnerable moments. You’ll provide emotional, spiritual, and grief counseling services as part of our interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct spiritual and bereavement assessments for patients and their caregivers
Provide direct spiritual care and grief counseling
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Offer education and consultation to staff regarding spiritual and bereavement needs
Assist with the supervision of spiritual care volunteers (as assigned)
Help develop and implement bereavement care plans for up to one year post-patient death
Participate in on-call rotation and continuous care, as needed
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology
OR Certificate of ordination/commission from a recognized faith group
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred
Previous hospice or end-of-life care experience strongly preferred
Comfortable in an interfaith environment; respectful of all beliefs, values, and cultures
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
