HR Generalist

Department: Human Resources
Location: Frisco, TX

Position Summary: The HR Generalist will provide support to designated operational branch offices and carry out a broad range of HR related functions including onboarding, records management and HR Reporting and Analytics.

Location: Hybrid position (Some Remote & In Office Work) Addus HomeCare 6303 Cowboys Way Suite 600 Frisco, TX 75034

Schedule: Full time - Monday through Friday

Essential Duties:

  • Handle employee benefits, policies and procedures questions and other employee requests
  • Act as liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefit related issues
  • Recruiting: screen, evaluate and recommend candidates: review resumes, telephone screens, behavioral assessments, schedule & interview candidates, offer letters, career fairs
  • Conduct new hire check-ins
  • Develop and update job descriptions
  • Responds to employee relations issues
  • Coordinate wellness initiatives
  • HR administrative duties (background checks, employee orientation)
  • Report accidents/injuries
  • Coordinate FMLA/LOA, STD/LTD, workers compensation claims, unemployment claims
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory body requirements
  • Participate in performance management
  • Plan company events
  • HR projects as assigned
  • Process employee terminations
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Maintains human resources information systems
  • Prepare EEO-1 report
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements
  • Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three or more years related experience
  • HRCI-PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
